Good weather and writing

There's a pretty deep chasm between what I should be doing regarding writing and what I am doing. To be honest, it's what I've always done. When I have a project, I have no problem sitting down and pecking out a consistent amount of scenes or words a day. But when I am not actively on a project, or haven't given myself permission to focus on a project, I don't do anything. It's not that I don't want to write, but how can I focus on work when I could be doing literally anything else?

We were able to take Arthur climbing for the first time a few weeks ago. In typical Arthur fashion, he was brave and chill and giggly, even when the rock scratched him a bit on the belly. (Although, he did fuss quite a lot getting the harness and helmet on.) We've also been hiking and gardening and enjoying life. Everyone's feeling healthy and good.

I don't think I have to be miserable or snowed in to write. But it certainly does help. Until then, there's a few events coming up this month that I'm really excited about.
